CCC (with a little help from some local friends - THANK YOU!!!) sang the National Anthem at the Rockies vs Giants game at Coors Field on July 19th 2024
In the Summer of 2024 we worked on a new idea: The Music Medics. We visited a local children's hospital and sang our program of Disney favorites. Continuing Covid restrictions prevented us from visiting individual rooms, however several mobile patients were able to come and listen and join in. We hope that in the future restrictions will be lifted and we can spread the joy to more kids.
CCC are currently touring the Denver Metro with our "Let Freedom Ring" patriotic package - and it is being very well received.
(we are still rehearsing every Tuesday evening)
Tony Pranaitis is Barbershopper of the Year AGAIN!!!! Thank you, Tony for all the tireless effort you put into the chorus!
At the installation dinner on the 12th January, the new board members were formally sworn in and installed.
CCC sang a patriotic set at a lunch for veterans and their families at Northglenn Community Center on 11th November 2023.
The audience was very appreciative. While we sang there were various pictures of veterans projected on the wall above and behind us, and at one point there was a picture of us singing at the same event last year.
May 6th 2023 CCC sang a half-hour set, a shortened version of our 'Yesterday' program, at the Arvada Acalada a cappella festival. We were very well received and hope that we can take part again next year.
Many thanks to Al Klinger for taking a video recording of our performance!
CCC were honored to take part in the annual memorial service at the Westminster Elks Lodge on December 4th. In this service, the Elks remember their members who have passed and light a candle for each one. The emphasis is on not being sad about their loss, rather remember the person in a positive light, reflecting on what they have learned from them and promising to teach others.
We sang 7 songs to complement the occasion:
I Believe
Amazing Grace
Irish Blessing
Wonderful World
Auld Lang Syne
God Bless America
Taps
These were very well received. In particular, comments were made about how much they enjoyed Taps, which was arranged by our associate director, Jerry Hooper.
