Hawaii 2021

December 7th 2021 is the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Colorado Chord Company has been invited to take part in special events to commemorate the incident. Members of the chorus will fly to Honolulu and spend a week on an organized tour of the island of Oahu, culminating in a performance at Pearl Harbor as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations and a commemorative parade in Waikiki.  

Current highlights on the itinerary include:

• Tour of Oahu, including the famous surfing beaches at Sunset Beach and Waimea
• Visit to the Dole pineapple plantation
• Hotel on Waikiki Beach
• Visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center and Polynesian villages (possible performance)
• Shows: The Pageant of the Long Canoes and The Breath of Life
• Visit to the USS Arizona memorial and the USS Missouri
• View the panorama from the Nuʻuanu Pali cliffs
• Performance at Pearl Harbor
• Commemorative parade in Waikiki

Other events are being arranged and will be added to this list.
